Bellevue Alm

As one of the oldest ski huts in Europe, the Bellevue Alm is located at 1,300 m above sea level on the eastern side of the Stubnerkogel. The restaurant is well-known and loved for its unadulterated and unique atmosphere, not-for-nothing it is called “The Mother of All Ski Lodges”. Ride back down in a toboggan in the winter. Sun on the sun terrace in the summer.

Valeriehaus

The Valeriehaus in Sportgastein was built in 1889 by the German-Austrian Alpine Club as a refuge for mountaineers and hikers. The building “Valeriehaus” was named in honor of the youngest daughter of the imperial couple Franz Josef and Sissi. Summer, like winter, the terrace offers a truly incredible view.

The Graukogelhütte is at 1954m, right next to the mountain station of the Graukogel lift. Surrounded by unspoilt nature, by centuries-old stone pines, skiers, tourers and hikers will find a place of peace or social gatherings with wonderful Austrian cuisine.

Untere Asten

The petting zoo and children’s playground is very popular with younger guests. Owner Heidi, also spoils the parents with home-made products such as cheese, bacon, bread, cider, juice, and fresh Kasnocken. The rustic stone hut is over 300 years old and still works without electricity.

Gamskar-
kogelhütte

In 1828 Archduke Johann built the Gamskarkogelhütte. It is located at 2467m at the summit of the Gamskarkogel, the highest grass mountain in Europe. It is one of the oldest shelters. Enjoy impressive sunrises and sunsets here. Overnight stays are an option and reservations are strongly recommended!

Bockart-
seehütte

The old Bockhartseehütte was built in 1928 and can be reached in 1 hour from the Sportgastein car park. From here you can enjoy many hiking trails and loops. Or enjoy a variety of homemade meals on the sun terrace. You can also have a refreshing dip in the Bockhartsee. The entire area is reminiscent of the gold mining that took place in the 1500s.
